Use of Terrors
- Qin Shi Huang is often remembered as a cruel, tyrant ruler who would readily kill any that oppose him. With many criticisms rising, the Emperor decided to silence them with the burning books and burying of scholars alive.
- He spent most of his life rule by terror and spends masses of resources and manpower to build his palaces, great walls and tombs. Thousands if not millions of people were sacrificed during these constructions.
- He also imposed harsh laws on the people and deathly punishment for those who commits crime, often if one person in the family is involved in crimes that whole family was killed.
- He believed that there is an elixir of immortality which he ordered many of his doctors to conduct. The doctors had made a medicine that has mercury in it. This mercury poisoned him and eventually took his life.
