Advancement in Technologies - Soldiers
During the Qin dynasty soldiers were introduced to more lighter armour to increase speed and swords were extended longer to stab more easily. Soldiers were usually equipped with a bronze sword and spear although iron is becoming more common. Cavalry with masses of infantry also became more popular.
Weapons
Crossbows were also introduced as they had more power than regular bows but the disadvantages are that they are heavy and hard to reload. Crossbows were later spread to the European countries. Never versions of the bows were made to look more complex so the enemies couldn't replicate them and were able to shoot multiple arrows at a time.
Modifications to Qin swords include extending over 90 cm in length for two arms use and made easier to stab enemies. They also apply chromium oxide to act as a protective coating.

Compasses
Ancient Chinese compasses were originally designed to help people find directions and aligning buildings with directions; north, south, east and west. Sometimes these compasses are even used for fortune telling. The design of the compass includes a spoon placing on a flat plate of bronze that is marked with constellations, cardinal points and other important symbol.
